ANDREY DYACHKIN
Andrey Dyachkin is an artist renowned in easel graphics, pastel, gouache and book illustration. He is an Honored Artist of the Kazakh Soviet Socialist Republic (since 1981) and a member of the Artists’ Union of the USSR since 1957.
Andrey Dyachkin was born in Lozovaya Station, Donetskaya Oblast of the Urkanian Soviet Socialist Republic in 1930. He studied at Kharkov Artistic Institute from 1945 through 1956.Upon graduation from the instituted in 1956 Andrey Dyachkin moved to Alma-Ata (now Almaty) where he lived for forty years. In Alma-Ata Andrey evolved as an artist, created a huge amount of masterpieces that are exhibited in numerous museums in the territory of the former USSR and in private collections world-wide.
Andrey Dyachkin has worked almost in all graphics techniques. In 1981 he was granted the title of an Honored Artist of the Kazakh Soviet Socialist Republic for his artworks. Andrey Dyachkin is a member of Moscow Artists’ Union.
Andrey Dyachkin worked in the Alma-Ata Art College named after N.V. Gogol from 1957 through 1960. He has been awarded with a certificate of appreciation by the Supreme Court of the Kazakh Soviet Socialist Republic.
Andrey Dyachkin’s works may be found in A. Kasteyev State Art Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan (Almaty), the State Tretyakov Gallery and the State Museum of Oriental Art (both located in Moscow) and in private collections around the world.
Andrey Dyachkin has been leaving and working in Moscow since 1993.
