PAVEL-IGOR SHOROHOV
Pavel Shorokhov was born 5 June 1946 in Latvia. Member of Kazakhstan’s Artists’ Union since 1984.
He graduated from the Almaty art school named after Gogol (1973), majoring in sculpture. P. Shorohov works in the genre Park, monumental and easel sculpture. Uses materials – stone, bronze, copper, wood, chamotte, ceramic, aluminum, granite, marble, gabbro.
The author of the sculptural composition in Almaty: the sculptural composition of the fountains at circus, Central Department store, Telecom (Zhibek Zholy Avenue), sculpture near the "Kazakhstan" hotel. Composition of the architectural complex "Capital centre", "Nurly Tau", "Botanical garden" and more.
The author of the sculptural composition in Astana: a series of compositions on "the Round square" sculpture "Rise" – near the residential complex "Triumph of Astana"; the two-figure composition of the "Gallant century" in the "French district".
He made ten sculptures in the Balkhash city, monuments Turar Ryskulov and Bauyrzhan Momyshuly, Monuments Kabanbay Batyr and Dinmuhamed Kunaev, Zhanibek Tarkhan and so on. Pavel Shorokhov has made about 40 portrait plaques to outstanding figures of Kazakhstan. He - participant of Republican and international exhibitions.
His works are in museums and private collections of Kazakhstan, Russia, Germany, Austria, Italy.
