SALIHITDIN AITBAEV
He was born 15 Feb 1938 in Kyzylorda, died 29 September 1994 in Almaty. Painter, graphic artist, honored artist of Kazakhstan, laureate of the Lenin Komsomol prize.
In 1961 he graduated from the Almaty art school named after N. Gogol from M. Kenba. In 1969-1971, he taught at the art school.
His paintings "Shopandar demalysy", "Bakhyt" give a distinctive look of the Kazakh visual art. He wrote portraits of "A. Alimjanov", "Ana", "Ake", "Shopan", "Abai", a series of paintings devoted to architectural monuments of medieval Khiva.
Paintings and graphic works by S. Aitbayev represented in the State Museum of arts of the Republic of Kazakhstan named after A. Kasteev, the Museum of Modern art, Astana.
