The game of shadows always has an amusing effect. The refraction of colors and lines creates a mosaic-like image, an original piece with a distinctive character. Shadows can highlight textures or compositions, bringing an element of romance, mystery, or intrigue to a painting. No wonder all Impressionists use a pointillist brushstroke: shadow and semi-shadow create form and volume, capturing the beauty of an object or nature.
Today's exhibition by Yevgeniy Fridlin is a new project, an experiment by an Impressionist on the theme of light and shadow, day and night, plane and mosaic. Everything is interesting and beautifully executed.European landscapes are replaced by recognizable places from Almaty and its surroundings, Mediterranean fantasies, and iconic old houses of the artist’s hometown Pavlodar. All this can be found at the exhibition.Experiments based on the work of such masters as K.A. Korovin and N.I. Feshin yield excellent results, especially when performed by such a professional as Yevgeniy Fridlin. We wish him success in his new achievements and discoveries in the mysterious world of creativity.
We invite you to the Vernissage on May 14 at 18:30 / 2025.
Special meeting with the artist for journalists: May 14 at 16:00 in our gallery.
